Governance

Betty Cares Foundation is funded through a donation of a percentage of all sales (GST exclusive) made by Sass Clothing Pty Ltd of the Betty Basics Essentials clothing range. The donation percentage varies, with monthly donations capped at $10,000 per calendar month. Betty Cares Foundation has also received personal donations from Alexander Cameron and Talitha Becker. 

 

Betty Cares Ltd is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). Our registration number is: ABN 72626761911. As a registered charity, details of activities and financial results are required to be lodged annually with the ACNC and these results are on public record. Betty Cares Foundation is also a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and is an eligible charity for funding by other DGR’s.


You may view the results on the ACNC website. The ACNC reviews the financial operation of all registered charities and requires explanation of any matters of concern to them. The ACNC also ensures compliance with the reporting obligations of all of its registered charities. In addition to the review by the ACNC, Betty Cares Foundation will be required to have an annual audit review by an independent auditor once its annual revenue exceeds $250,000.


Betty Cares Foundation has a board of directors which meets regularly with team members to review the operations of the charity and to plan future charitable activities.
